PASCHAL LIGHT SPIRITUAL FOUNDATION
The Paschal Light Spiritual Foundation course consists of nine discourses which you may study at your own pace, but it is recommend that you listen or read one each week. This is because it is good to pause and reflect on each of these discourses before moving on to the next.
This course discusses the spiritual significance of baptism and is based on the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. You may already have been baptized and confirmed and so consider that this course is not relevant to you but do you, for example, properly understand what original sin is? This question is among many that are simply explained. So whether you are an Anglican or not this course has much to offer.
The first eight discourses are based on a section of A Guide to the Holy Sacraments in a Series of Lectures on the Baptismal Service which were delivered by the Rev'd Harry Croswell in 1857, the year before his death. The ninth discourse is based on a sermon preached by the Rev'd Dr James deKoven at Racine College, Wisconsin in 1878. These are indeed dated sources but the significance and value of the spiritual content has not changed.
The Book of Common Prayer, which is quoted in this course, can be found online.
